Sebastian Horwitz earned his diploma in architecture from the Technical University Carolo-Wilhelmina in Braunschweig and successfully completed a postgraduate degree in "Professional Practice in Architecture" at the University of Cambridge. He worked for Robert Adam Architects in London and Winchester for several years and participated in workshops and courses led by Leon Krier at the Prince's Foundation in London. He then returned to Germany and worked for offices in Friesland and Hamburg. His focus is on modern new buildings in a classic, traditional style and building renovations in compliance with monument protection.
Sebastian Horwitz is a member of the Hamburg Chamber of Architects as well as a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, where he is active in the TAG (Traditional Architecture Group). Since 2005 he has been a member at INTBAU and Chairman of Germany since 2021. He teaches at their Summer Schools, which are now held worldwide.
